Please note that this festival is now sold out to overseas visiting schools wishing to be hosted with families. However there are still places available for local schools who can travel daily or schools willing to stay in a hotel.

Travel & Visas
Arrivals and departures for visiting schools
Overseas schools travelling from outside of Amman will be met outside the arrival gate at the airport by a representative from the school and the host families to travel directly to their homestay homes. Travel time for teachers from the airport to the hotel will take approximately 30–45 minutes. Overseas schools will be transported by bus to the airport after the event.
Arrivals and departures for ISTA artists
Upon arrival ISTA artists should look for a representative from the host school at the arrival gate holding a sign with their name who will take you directly to the hotel. Artists will be provided return transportation to the airport at the end of the event. Those staying on past the festival will be provided transportation back to the hotel and are asked to take a taxi to the airport from the hotel the following day. Please keep the receipt to submit to Jo for reimbursement.
Daily transportation for visiting students
Homestay students will be transported daily to and from the school by their host families. Local schools will make their own daily travel arrangements.
Daily transportation for teachers and ISTA artists
All overseas teachers and ISTA artists will be provided transportation to and from the hotel and school arranged by the host school. Local teachers are required to make their own daily travel arrangements.
Transport for the cultural excursion
Transportation to and from the cultural excursion location will be provided by school bus. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Social meal for visiting teachers/chaperones and ISTA artists
An evening meal for teachers/chaperones and ISTA artists will take place on Friday 24th January 2020 venue TBC. This is costed at approximately GBP £30 per person. Visiting teachers will need money in cash (in local currency) to pay to the host/Rep on arrival.

800 year old Byzantine amphitheatre located in Downtown Amman which used to be an indoor theatre and political forum.

Please note:
We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected by 21st November 2019.
Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive into Amman by evening on Wednesday 22nd January 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:00pm on Saturday 25th January 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Local schools will attend from Thursday morning onwards.
For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Tuesday 21st January 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:30pm on Saturday 25th January 2020.
The Rep should arrive by evening on Monday 20th January 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.

Finances
Students
Registration fees
Students from member schools – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.
Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.
Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £226.
Non-local member schools – GBP £236 plus accommodation, unless a hosted school.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.
Teachers/chaperones
Registration fees
Member schools – GBP £50.
Non-member schools – GBP £102.
Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt (optional) – GBP £12.

Accommodation costs
USD $126 per teacher per night based on single room accommodation.
Teachers/chaperones will be required to pay for their rooms in advance directly to the hotel. Your EC will provide you with the hotel confirmation so that you may make these arrangements.
Total cost per teacher/chaperone
Local member schools – GBP £72.
Non-local member schools – GBP £82 plus accommodation.
Local non-member schools – GBP £124.
Non-local non-member schools – GBP £134 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £72.
Please note:
1. A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
2. A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
3. A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.

For teachers/chaperones
Single rooms will be booked for 3 nights from 22nd January 2020.
Single occupancy rooms costs USD $126 per night.
Double/twin rooms costs USD $136 per night.
For students
There is room for the first 20 overseas visiting school students booked to stay with a host family which is now fully booked. These students will stay with families from the host school community; there is no additional cost for this.
Homestay housing for students will be provided for 3 nights from 22nd January 2020.
Students not staying with host families will stay in a hotel booked for them by ISTA. Students will stay in shared rooms at the designated hotel.
Shared rooms will be booked for 3 nights from 22nd January 2020.
Where possible students will be placed in rooms with peers from the same school.
Schools will be invoiced at the time of registration for all accommodation costs.
For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.
For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from Tuesday 21st January 2020.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 20th January 2020.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.
