Title
DP Theatre – Category 1

Workshop goals
This workshop is recommended for teachers of Theatre from schools which have taken the decision to apply to offer the Diploma programme or new or recently appointed Theatre teachers from IB World Schools.
The overall purpose of workshops in this category is to provide professional development and assistance for schools that have decided to apply for IB authorisation. They are equally relevant for educators who are new to a school with an existing IB programme and those interested in joining an IB school.

Master class
All participants will take part in one master class. Details to be confirmed by January 2020.

Theatre
All participants will attend one professional theatre performance. Details to be confirmed by January 2020.

ISTA members – GBP £790.
Non ISTA members – GBP £845.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt – GBP £12.

Accommodation costs
Prices to be confirmed shortly. Please note that you will be responsible for booking your own accommodation. ISTA will not be invoicing you for this.

Total cost per participants
Local ISTA members – GBP £802.
Overseas ISTA members – GBP £802 plus accommodation to be paid directly to the hotel.
Local non ISTA members – GBP £857.
Overseas non ISTA members – GBP £857 plus accommodation to be paid directly to the hotel.

Please note
Fees include lunches and tea/coffee breaks daily; master class and one theatre ticket.
Any bookings or amendments taken in the six weeks prior to the workshop will incur an additional GBP £50 late booking/amendment surcharge, subject to availability.
Late registrants will not be able to order a t-shirt; and we may not be able to furnish you with a theatre ticket. The latter will be managed on a case by case basis.

Travel and visas


For participants
Participants are advised to arrive into Atlanta by evening on Wednesday 17th June 2020 and should not plan to leave Atlanta International School until after the last session finishes at 3:00pm on Saturday. Early departures should be avoided, but if incurred will mean ISTA can only issue a certificate of partial attendance.
Please ensure you have the correct visa to enter the United States of America.

For artists
All artists should plan to fly into Atlanta by evening on Wednesday 17th June 2020 and should not plan to leave name of venue until 30 minutes after the close of the final session (for the artist Standing ovation session).

Accommodation


For participants
All participants will be asked to book their own hotel accommodation. We will be posting information about the selected hotel shortly.

For artists
ISTA will book single room accommodation for the nights of 17th, 18th and 19th June 2020.

Meals


For participants
Lunches are provided daily along with tea/coffee breaks; breakfast and evening meals are not included.

For artists
All meals for the duration of the workshop will be provided.
