Bahrain MS

March 16 - March 18, 2018

Booking Closed

Using Bahrain’s pearl industry to explore the question “What do we consider valuable?”

Title

The pearl adventures

Starting Point

What do we consider valuable? What do we consider beautiful? What are we looking for? Bahrain is famous for pearl fishing and Bahrain, apparently, produces some of the best pearls in the world. This festival focuses on the pearl trade and how something that is formed from a piece of dirt can become as precious and beautiful. We inquire into ideas of value, the price we’re prepared to pay for what we want and what we’d do to get it.

Out & About
