Bangkok HS

November 3 - November 5, 2017

Booking Closed

The sights, sounds, smells and stories from the Tot Fai market will be our inspiration as we make gripping and engaging original theatre.

Title

Tales from the market

Starting Point

Bangkok. City of lights and immense traffic. Bustle and noise. It never sleeps. And in the thick of it is the market. So huge it’s easy to get sidetracked down the maze of stalls where anything and everything can be bought. From Moroccan lamps to antique wooden chests and vintage Levi’s jeans. Even a python is for sale. And every store owner can spin a tale. Everything for sale might tell a story and have been on a journey yet to be completed. And then there are the people. So many people bartering for a bargain. What stories might they tell? How can we take these tales and unique sights, sounds and smells and turn them into gripping and engaging theatre?
