ISTA present...

Berlin HS

February 22 - February 25, 2018

Booking Closed

Our young theatre-makers will explore how we bring the distant nearer using film, story and theatre.

Title

The faraway near

Starting Point

How is film used to bring the distant nearer? How is film used to tell stories about ourselves and our world? How do we capture the world? The technology we all have these days from our phones to state of the art cameras gives us the instant capability to photograph or film everything around us. This festival focuses on film making approaches and techniques, and we inquire into how we tell stories using film and how we bring the distant closer through film.

Out & About

A visit to a film museum and an opportunity to shoot footage in a variety of locales.
