Please note:
We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected by 16th January 2020.
Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive in time to be at the festival venue for the 4:00pm start on Thursday 19th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 12:30pm on Sunday 22nd March 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.

For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Wednesday 18th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 1:00pm on Sunday 22nd March 2020.
The Rep should arrive by evening on Tuesday 17th January 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Travel information is due by 9th January 2020.


Finances

Students

Registration fees
Students from member schools – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £226.
Non-local member schools – GBP £236.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.

Teachers/chaperones

Registration fees
Member schools – GBP £50.
Non-member schools – GBP £102.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt (optional) – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Total cost per teacher/chaperone
Local member schools – GBP £72.
Non-local member schools – GBP £82.
Local non-member schools – GBP £124.
Non-local non-member schools – GBP £134.
Host school – GBP £72.

Please note:

  1. A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
  2. A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
  3. A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
  4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.

Travel & Visas

All participants will fly into Brussels.

For schools
You are responsible for booking your own travel and securing visas for the festival.

For artists
You are responsible for booking your own flights and will work with your EC to provide all information in a timely manner.
Artist teams are launched 12 weeks prior to the festival and all flights must be booked 10 weeks prior to the festival.
You are also responsible for ensuring you have the correct visa.


Accommodation

ISTA will book a hotel for teachers/chaperones and ISTA artists close to the school.

For schools

For teachers/chaperones
Single rooms will be be booked for 3 nights from Thursday 19th March 2020.
We work on a costing of GBP £90.00 per person per night for adults; including breakfast.
Hotel costs will be confirmed by the end of May 2019.
Teachers/chaperones will be responsible for paying for rooms on arrival. We can make provision for schools to pay hotel bills ahead of time.

For students
Students will stay with families from the host school community; there is no additional cost for this.
Housing for students will be provided for 3 nights from Thursday 19th March 2020.

For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.

For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from 18th March 2020.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 17th March 2020.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.


Meals

For schools
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel or with host families.
Lunches will be provided daily (Sunday lunch not included).
Evening meals are provided either at the host school or with host families.
One evening meal for teachers/chaperones will be the social meal. This is costed at approximately GBP £30 per person.

For artists
All meals are provided by the host school.
