Please note:
We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected by 9th January 2020.
Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive in time to be at the festival venue for the 4:00pm start on Thursday 12th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 12:30pm on Sunday 15th March 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.

For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Wednesday 11th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 1:00pm on Sunday 15th March 2020.
The Rep should arrive by evening on Tuesday 10th March 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Travel information is due by 9th January 2020.


Finances

Students

Registration fees
Students from member schools – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £226.
Non-local member schools – GBP £236.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.

Teachers/chaperones

Registration fees
Member schools – GBP £50.
Non-member schools – GBP £102.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt (optional) – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Total cost per teacher/chaperone
Local member schools – GBP £72.
Non-local member schools – GBP £82.
Local non-member schools – GBP £124.
Non-local non-member schools – GBP £134.
Host school – GBP £72.

Please note:
1. A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
2. A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
3. A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.


Travel & Visas

All participants will fly into Cairo International Airport.

The journey from the airport to the school will take approximately 45 minutes.

For schools
You are responsible for booking your own travel and securing visas for the festival.

All schools will be met by a representative from the host school and transported to the school by bus.

For artists
You are responsible for booking your own flights and will work with your EC to provide all information in a timely manner.
Artist teams are launched 12 weeks prior to the festival and all flights must be booked 10 weeks prior to the festival.
You are also responsible for ensuring you have the correct visa.

Artists will be collected at the airport and taken by private bus or car to the hotel.

The hotel has free WiFi.
The room rate is approximately GBP £85 per person per night, including breakfast and taxes. Please note that this rate may increase for 2020.

Visiting teachers/chaperones are responsible for booking their own rooms.
The host school have secured a discounted room rate for this event. To book your rooms please follow this link.

The journey from the hotel to the school is approximately 15-25 minutes by bus provided by the host school.

For schools

For teachers/chaperones
Visiting teachers/chaperones are responsible for booking their own rooms for the nights of the 12th, 13th and 14th March 2020.

For students
Students will stay with families from the host school community; there is no additional cost for this.
Housing for students will be provided for 3 nights from 12th March 2020.

For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.

For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from 11th March 2020.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 10th March 2020.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.


Meals

For schools
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel or with host families.
Lunches will be provided daily (Sunday lunch not included).
Evening meals are provided either at the host school or with host families.
One evening meal for teachers/chaperones will be the social meal. This is costed at approximately GBP £30 per person.

For artists
All meals are provided by the host school.
