About the training


Workshop goals
Category 1
This workshop is recommended for teachers of Theatre from schools which have taken the decision to apply to offer the Diploma programme or new or recently appointed Theatre teachers from IB World Schools.

Target audience
This workshop is recommended for teachers of Theatre from schools which have taken the decision to apply to offer the Diploma programme or new or recently appointed Theatre teachers from IB World Schools.

All teachers of the NEW DP Theatre course beginning in 2022 for cohorts graduating in May/November 2024.

Please note:
This workshop is scheduled at the same time as Chiang Mai TaPS so that it is possible for teachers to attend IB training while their students participate in TaPS.

Master class & master class leader

Theatre
All participants will attend two professional theatre performances as part of the workshop.

Workshop timings
The workshop begins at 9:00am on Thursday, 6th October 2022 ends at 3:00pm Saturday, 8th October 2022.

Participants are expected to attend all sessions on all days.

Finances


Registration fees
ISTA Members – GBP £840
Non ISTA Members – GBP £895
T-Shirt – GBP £12

Total cost per participant
ISTA Members – GBP £852 plus transfers and accommodation.
Non ISTA Members – GBP £907 plus transfers and accommodation.

Transfers and accommodation
3 night package transportation and accommodation costs – GBP £235 per teacher
This is for 3 nights (separate bedrooms in shared teacher accommodation).
This includes airport transfers and all meals/snacks.
*All participants will automatically be invoiced for a standard 3 night package.

4 night package transportation and accommodation costs – GBP £275 per teacher
This is for 4 nights (separate bedrooms in shared teacher accommodation).
This includes airport transfers and all meals/snacks.
*If you intend to stay for a 4th night you will need to inform the Event Manager of this requirement in advance. You will be invoiced for this additional night after the registration window closes on 24th August.

Please note
Fees include lunches and tea/coffee breaks daily and a ticket for one theatre performance.
Any bookings or amendments taken in the six weeks prior to the workshop will incur an additional GBP £50 late booking/amendment surcharge, subject to availability.
Once booked and invoiced the registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable as per event terms and conditions.
Late registrants will not be able to order a t-shirt.

Travel & visas


Travel & visas
Non local participants are advised to arrive in Chiang Mai on the evening of Wednesday, 5th October 2022 and should not plan to leave Prem Tinsulanonda International School Campus until after the close of the last session at 3:00 pm on Saturday, 8th October 2022

Late arrivals and early departures will result in participants not being eligible to receive a certificate of completion for the workshop.

Please ensure you have the correct visa to enter Thailand and have checked entry requirements pertaining to Thai COVID-19 regulations.

Local travel
Airport transfers will be provided at specified times.
For those arriving outside of the group pick up timings and wish to make their own way to the venue may do so and pay their own way. Only group transfers are included in the fees.
Accommodations are located on campus and will not require daily travel.

Accommodation & meals


Accommodation
Participants will stay in shared apartments, each with their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Apartments will have WiFi, air-conditioning and a kitchenette.

ISTA artists will stay in shared apartments with their own bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

Any materials shared with you prior to the workshop such as the workbook.
A notebook and pencil are always useful.
