ISTA present...

Dubai HS

November 2 - November 4, 2017

Booking Closed

An exploration of identity and tolerance in this most multi-cultural of cities.

Title

3rd culture identity

Starting Point

Dubai is one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Full of people with hugely different backgrounds and travellers on a myriad of different journeys. This is a festival that aims to explore how young people with their own experiences of multiculturalism can use those experiences through theatre to make a difference. For those of us who have lived in so many places from such a young age, how can we use our voices to bring about change in a world that clearly needs help right now? How can we make theatre that explores identity and tolerance?

Research Task

Sol Abiad, a professional theatre practitioner and professor of drama at Paris Sorbonne University, Abu Dhabi, will lead a series of practical workshops exploring the impact of multicultural Dubai.
