Geneva HS Deep Dive into Tradition, Theory and Theatre Making

October 13 - October 15, 2023

Wait List

Deep Dive Festivals

Deep Dives are 2-3 day opportunities for educators and HS aged learners to delve deeply into a particular, focussed area of theatre/performance. Led by experts and in collaboration with specialist organisations these experiences will offer new insights, and a deeper understanding of key areas of interest. Pre-DP and DP learners will benefit from exposure to and experimentation with specific practices, practitioners, theories and approaches that will be useful and practical additions to their theatre maker toolkits.

Artistic Information

Students will experiment with theatrical space, principles of design, performance style and audience impact through the lens of a variety of theorists and practitioners. In addition to reflecting upon how this work can be applied to their theatre courses, ensembles will apply their learning by creating a short performance in response to a provocation.
