About the workshop

Title
How to submit assessment work: Everything you need to know about DP Theatre assessment submission

Workshop description
In this workshop, we will go through the step-by-step process of submitting each assessment task, examining what documents need to be submitted, when, where and how to submit them, and in what format to submit them. We will also examine the Theatre Coursework Authentication Form and how to fill this in.

Learning outcomes
Teachers will:
Understand what is expected of teachers in the submission process.
Feel confident and prepared to submit next year’s assessment tasks.
Make connections with other IB DP Theatre teachers.
Feel less stressed about the administration of their course.

How will the workshop benefit the teacher in their curriculum delivery?
Teachers will be prepared ahead of time for the requirements of the course regarding submission deadlines. They will feel confident, organised and able to collect work in a timely manner and in the right format to reduce their own stress and manage their time more effectively.

Target audience
DP Theatre teachers.

About your workshop leader

I was born in the United Kingdom, trained as an actor at Bristol and worked professionally as an actor/director before becoming a theatre teacher in the UK and US. I am now a freelance theatre artist who travels the world looking for exciting creative opportunities and the best beaches.

My main interests as a theatre artist are in devised collaborative theatre and physical acting. My training is focussed in Lecoq’s pedagogy and in my own devised work, and I am passionate about exploring social and political ideas through physicality. I have experience working with Complicité, Frantic Assembly and Gecko, and these companies inform much of my practice.

I have extensive experience with the IB DP Theatre and MYP courses and have led Category 1, 2 and 3 teacher training workshops for ISTA. I also work as a creative director, SEL at TaPS/festivals and master class leader, and am thrilled to be part of such an incredible community of theatre artists.
