Master class

The master class on offer at this IB workshop is Devising comedy with The Pretend Men.

Theatre

The two performances at this IB workshop will be:

  1. A one-man performance of storytelling with Chris Salisbury.
  2. UK acclaimed theatre company The Pretend Men performing Police Cops in Space.                                                                                                    Please note – theatre productions may be subject to change according to numbers and factors outside our control.

Dates

The workshop starts at 9:00am on Saturday 12th October 2019.
The workshop finishes at 3:00pm on Monday 14th October 2019.

Important dates

Registration is now open
Registration closes 13th September 2019.

Artist travel forms are due 13th September 2019.

Travel

Participants are advised to arrive into Jakarta by evening on Friday the 11th October 2019 and should not plan to leave the host venue until after the last session finishes at 3:00pm on Monday 14th October. Early departures should be avoided, but if incurred will mean ISTA can only issue a certificate of partial attendance.

All artists should plan to fly into Jakarta.

Accommodation

ISTA will be booking a hotel near the venue where all participants will stay. We will book accommodation for all participants and will invoice schools for accommodation at the time of registration.

Finances

Fees

Registration fees
Teachers from member schools – GBP £635.
Teachers from non-member schools – GBP £685.
Teachers from host school – 2 free teacher places, excluding surcharges.
Fees include lunches and tea/coffee breaks daily; master class and two theatre tickets.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10. NB. Airport transfers will only be provided if attending as part of a student group.
Non local member participants daily travel – GBP £20. This will be for daily travel from the hotel to the school and from the school to the theatre.
Local participants – two one way theatre transfers – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £60 per teacher per night based on single room accommodation; GBP £180 for three nights. Info pending.

Teachers from local member schools – GBP £657.
Teachers from non local member schools (attending as part of a school group) – GBP £857.
Teachers from non local member schools (attending without students) – £847.
Teachers from local non member schools – GBP £707.
Teachers from non local non member schools (attending as part of a school group) – GBP £907.
Teachers from non local non member schools (attending without students) – GBP £897.

Any bookings or amendments taken in the six weeks prior to the workshop will incur an additional GBP £50 late booking/amendments surcharge, subject to availability.

Meals

Lunches and dinners are provided daily along with tea/coffee breaks; breakfast will be taken at the hotel.
