Students

There will also be IB DP training at this workshop – Category 3 – Collaboratively Creating Original Theatre and Category 3 Practical Film Making. For teachers interested in attending IB training (Theatre or Film), whether bringing students or attending alone, please visit the Kuala Lumpur IB workshop webpage.


Masterclasses

Students will take part in 2 master classes, each lasting 90 minutes.
Masterclasses for this event will be announced by May 2019.


Professional development and learning (PD&L)

We invite all teachers/chaperones not taking part in IB training to take part in two PD&L workshops at no additional cost.


 

Theatre

All participants will attend two professional theatre performances. Details will be confirmed by May 2019.

Important Information

Booking is now open.

The registration window will open on Friday 9th August 2019.
The registration window will close on Friday 23rd August 2019.

Travel forms from artists are due on Friday 23rd August 2019.

All final information will be available for participants 2-3 weeks prior to the event.


Travel

Participants are advised to arrive into Kuala Lumpur by evening on Thursday 19th September 2019 and should not plan to leave ISKL before 3:00pm on Sunday 22nd September 2019.

Please note:
All international travel should be planned accordingly.
It is the responsibility of the schools/participants/artists to ensure they have the appropriate visas, as required.


Accommodation

ISTA will be booking a hotel near to the host venue. We will book rooms for all participants – single rooms for teachers and shared rooms for students. Schools will be invoiced for accommodation at the time of registration.

ISTA will book accommodation for ISTA artists for the nights of 19th, 20th and 21st September 2019.

Fees

Students

Registration fee
Students from member schools – GBP £300.
Students from non member schools – GBP £335.
Students from host school – GBP £225 for the first 20, thereafter GBP £300.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Non local participants daily travel – GBP £20. This will be for daily travel from the hotel to the school and from the school to the theatre.
Local participants – two one way theatre transfers – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £TBC per student per night based on shared accommodation; GBP £TBC for three nights.

Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £322.
Non local member schools – GBP £342 plus accommodation.
Local non member schools – GBP £357.
Non local non member schools – GBP £377 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £247.

Teachers

Registration fee
GBP £130 (2 x theatre tickets plus meals at school).

Non local – GBP £172 plus accommodation.

Please note:
All registration fees and surcharges will be invoiced once the registration window has closed.
A GBP£500 – non refundable, non-transferable deposit will be sent with the booking confirmation; this amount will be deducted from your final invoice.


Meals

Lunch and dinner will be provided on the days of the workshop as well as tea/coffee breaks daily. Breakfast will be taken at the hotel.
