Manchester IB workshop - Combined DP Theatre Category 1 and 2

August 21 - August 23, 2019

Booking Closed

Type

Combined DP Theatre Category 1 and 2

Master classes

All participants will take part in one 90 minute master class. Practising the Postdramatic with Jo Scott.
This master class introduces techniques for working with Postdramatic approaches to performance-making. With a focus on task-based performance, the use of text and space, as well as how these elements can be combined and composed, the workshop offers practical routes into making performance work that does not create a singular fictional world and instead employs a composition of diverse onstage components to evoke a range of feelings and meanings.

Theatre

All participants will attend one professional theatre performance. Please note – this is a change to the previously advertised production. Unrequited love, mistaken identities, cross-dressing, a shipwreck and unforgettable characters – Shakespeare’s most outrageous romantic comedy Twelfth Night comes to Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre in Chester this summer. We will be travelling from Manchester to Chester by minibus to see this fantastic outdoor production with a possible talkback with a member of the cast and/or director.

Please note – theatre productions may be subject to change according to numbers and factors outside our control.
