At this festival we will explore…
… how the identity of a place is created through contrasting elements and connections that all coexist in one space.

Exploration
The Aarey Colony, a unique urban forest with its own ecosystem where we will explore the environment, its history and hear about the Warli tribes’ customs, lifestyle and traditions.

Registration opens 10th January 2020.
Registration closes on 24th January 2020.

Please note:
We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected by 10th January 2020.
Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive into Mumbai by 3:00pm on Thursday 12th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:00pm on Sunday 15th March 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Local schools will attend from Friday morning onwards.

For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Wednesday 11th March 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:30pm on Sunday 15th March 2020.
The Rep should arrive by evening on 10th March 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Travel information is due by 3rd January 2020.


Finances

Students

Registration fees
Students from member schools – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £TBC per student per night based on shared accommodation; GBP £TBC for three nights.

Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £226.
Non-local member schools – GBP £236 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.

Teachers/chaperones

Registration fees
Member schools – GBP £50.
Non-member schools – GBP £102.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt (optional) – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £TBC per teacher per night based on single room accommodation; GBP £TBC for three nights.

Total cost per teacher/chaperone
Local member schools – GBP £72.
Non-local member schools – GBP £82 plus accommodation.
Local non-member schools – GBP £124.
Non-local non-member schools – GBP £134 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £72.

Please note:

  1. A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
  2. A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
  3. A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
  4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.

Travel & Visas

All participants will fly into Mumbai.

For schools
You are responsible for booking your own travel and securing visas for the festival.

For artists
You are responsible for booking your own flights and will work with your EC to provide all information in a timely manner.
Artist teams are launched 12 weeks prior to the festival and all flights must be booked 10 weeks prior to the festival.
You are also responsible for ensuring you have the correct visa.


Accommodation

ISTA will book a hotel for all participants and ISTA artists close to the school.

For schools

For teachers/chaperones
Single rooms will be be booked for 3 nights from 12th March 2020.
We work on a costing of GBP £90.00 per person per night for adults; including breakfast.
Hotel costs will be confirmed by the end of May 2019.

For students
Students will stay in shared rooms at the designated hotel.
Shared rooms will be be booked for 3 nights from 12th March 2020.
Where possible students will be placed in rooms with peers from the same school.
Hotel costs will be confirmed by the end of May 2019.
Schools will be invoiced at the time of registration for all accommodation costs.

For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.

For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from 11th March 2020.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 10th March 2020.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.


Meals

For schools
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel.
Lunches will be provided daily.
Evening meals are provided either at the host school. No evening meal provided Sunday.

For artists
All meals are provided by the host school.
