DP Theatre – Category 1 and 2 combined.
This workshop will combine the goals of a Cat 1 and Cat 2 workshop.
Workshop goals
Goals of a Cat 1 workshop
This workshop is recommended for teachers of Theatre from schools which have taken the decision to apply to offer the Diploma programme or new or recently appointed Theatre teachers from IB World Schools.
The overall purpose of workshops in this category is to provide professional development and assistance for schools that have decided to apply for IB authorisation. They are
equally relevant for educators who are new to a school with an existing IB programme and those interested in joining an IB school.
Goals of a Cat 2 workshop
This workshop is recommended for experienced Theatre teachers from IB World Schools. Teachers must have either attended a previous Category 1 workshop in Theatre OR have been teaching DP Theatre for a number of years.
The overall purpose of workshops in this category is to provide a forum for experienced IB educators focusing on programme delivery. There is an emphasis on assessment, teaching and learning methodologies and exploring best practice in the classroom.
Master class
All participants will take part in one master class. The focus of the master class at this workshop will be Kathakali and will include a lec/demo also.
Theatre
All participants will attend one professional theatre performance. Details to be confirmed by the end of October.

Non ISTA members – GBP £645.
Please note
Fees include lunches and tea/coffee breaks daily; master class and one theatre ticket.
Travel and visas
For participants
Participants are advised to arrive into New Delhi by evening on Saturday 23rd November 2019 and should not plan to leave the host venue until after the last session finishes at 3:00pm on Tuesday 26th November 2019. Early departures should be avoided, but if incurred will mean ISTA can only issue a certificate of partial attendance.
Please ensure you have the correct visa to enter India.
Accommodation
For participants
ISTA will be booking a hotel close to the school and details will be posted shortly. We will provide a link to the hotel for teachers to book independently.
Meals
For participants
Lunches are provided daily along with tea/coffee breaks; breakfast and evening meals are not included.
All meals for the duration of the event will be covered by ISTA through a per diem.
