Theatre

Theatre performance #1

Theatre performance: Leopoldstadt play
Venue: Longacre Theatre
220 West 48th Street
Date and time: Thursday October 20th 2022

About the performance
‘An unforgettable play from the heart.’ – The Telegraph
TOM STOPPARD returns to Broadway with his critically acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning new play, the humane and heartbreaking ‘LEOPOLDSTADT.’
Set in Vienna, the play takes its title from the Jewish quarter. This passionate drama of love and endurance begins in the last days of 1899 and follows one extended family deep into the heart of the 20th century. Full of his customary wit and beauty, Stoppard’s late work spans fifty years of time over two hours.
‘This is a momentous new play. Tom Stoppard has reached back into his own family history to craft a work that is both epic and intimate; that is profoundly personal, but which concerns us all.’ – Financial Times
With a cast of 38 actors and direction by Patrick Marber, ‘LEOPOLDSTADT’ will play on Broadway beginning September 14.
This ‘unforgettable family saga’ (The Sunday Times) must not be missed.

Theatre performance #2

Theatre performance: 1776
Venue: American Airlines Theatre
Date and time: Friday 21st October 2022

About the performance
What will it take to get two dozen powerfully passionate, exceedingly complicated, and all-too-human individuals to settle their differences, while they hold the very future of a nation in their hands? This Tony Award-winning Best Musical is tuneful, funny, and constantly surprising, especially in this revolutionary new production from directors Jeffrey L. Page and Diane Paulus. You may never think about our country—who we are and why—the same way again.
