Title
DP Theatre – Category 1

Workshop goals
This workshop is recommended for teachers of Theatre from schools which have taken the decision to apply to offer the Diploma programme or new or recently appointed Theatre teachers from IB World Schools.
The overall purpose of workshops in this category is to provide professional development and assistance for schools that have decided to apply for IB authorisation. They are equally relevant for educators who are new to a school with an existing IB programme and those interested in joining an IB school.

Master class
All participants will take part in one master class. Details to be confirmed by August 2020.

Theatre
All participants will attend one (possibly two) professional theatre performances. Details to be confirmed by August 2020.

Registration is now open.

The artist team will be activated 12 weeks prior to the event.
Artist travel details are due 10 weeks prior to the event.

Registration fees
ISTA members – GBP £790.
Non ISTA members – GBP £845.

Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt – GBP £12 – TBC.
2nd theatre performance – GBP £45 – TBC.

Total cost per participant
ISTA members – GBP £847.
Non ISTA members – GBP £902.

Please note
Fees include lunches and tea/coffee breaks daily; master class and one/two theatre ticket(s).
Any bookings or amendments taken in the six weeks prior to the workshop will incur an additional GBP £50 late booking/amendment surcharge, subject to availability.
Late registrants will not be able to order a t-shirt; and we may not be able to furnish you with a theatre ticket. The latter will be managed on a case by case basis.

Travel and visas


For participants
Participants are advised to arrive into New York by evening on Wednesday 21st October 2020 and should not plan to leave Ripley Grier Studios until after the last session finishes at 3:00pm on Saturday 24th October 2020. Early departures should be avoided, but if incurred will mean ISTA can only issue a certificate of partial attendance.
Please ensure you have the correct visa to enter the United States of America.

For artists
All artists should plan to fly into New York by evening on Wednesday 21st October 2020 and should not plan to leave Ripley Grier Studios until 30 minutes after the close of the final session (for the artist Standing ovation session) on Saturday 24th October 2020.

Accommodation


For participants
All participants will be asked to book their own hotel accommodation.

For artists
ISTA will book single room accommodation for the nights of 21st, 22nd and 23rd October 2020.

Meals


For participants
Lunches are provided daily along with tea/coffee breaks; breakfast and evening meals are not included.

For artists
Lunch is provded daily.
Your EC will outline the subsistence allowance you can claim for breakfast and evening meals during the event.
