ISTA present...
Phnom Penh HS
March 2 - March 4, 2018

ISTA’s first festival in Cambodia: a Connect festival tackling the issue of re-creating a culture after the horrors of suppression and war, welcoming creative performances and workshops from Cambodian companies.
Title
Power: past and present – “We believe that through creativity we can each expand our potential as human beings.” Cambodia Living Arts.
Starting Point
When a culture is lost to the horrors of suppression and war, how can people, especially our young people re-create it? The revival of Cambodia’s rich and unique cultural heritage is beginning to emerge with the hope of empowering, rebuilding and forming national identity. Through the original and creative performances and influences of internationally renowned, Cambodian companies, Epic Arts and Phare Circus, we will come to understand and explore the impact power has. The power of fear and dictatorship, opportunity and the power of the arts.
