Reimagining our Connect programme with Neil Farrelly (online 1 evening Asia)
January 21, 2021
Together towards tomorrow (TTT) sessions are free and open to everyone to attend. They are monthly online connection conversations where people can meet, reconnect and learn together as well as help us shape the future of ISTA.
This event takes place at 10:00-11:00am UK time.
While scheduled, primarily, as an evening meeting for those located in Asia, interested participants globally are invited to attend.
About the workshop
Reimagining our Connect programme
ISTA’s Connect programme has been one of our proudest achievements and has helped young people from less privileged backgrounds flourish, alongside like minded students from around the world. But now it’s time to step it up.
How can we help more students in more parts of the world?
Does our current experience suit the needs of these young people?
How can we ensure there is a legacy for these young people?
How can we use our privileged position to bring the arts to all young people.
How can we adapt and innovate to make Connect experiences more local, more widespread and more sustainable?
It’s ambitious and might take time to develop but we want your help to make it happen!
About your workshop leader
I studied at Middlesex University, London. I have lived and worked in Asia for the past 25 years, teaching, directing, writing and collaborating with students and artists. I have worked for ISTA since 2004 and love the Connect programme. My first book Damn It, Do It was published in India in 2017 and my second book Foreign Entrepreneurs in Hokkaido in 2020. I live in Hokkaido with my wife and dog.
I like collaborating, creative projects and interviewing people. I like the feeling after a workshop of having made a difference in some way. I like underdogs. I like writing about what’s out there and what’s in me. I like handmade things. I’m old school in that I trust people more than machines. I think real communication is a glorious thing.
Registration closes on 20th January 2021.
The session will take place using the platform Zoom.
You will receive a link to the Zoom meeting the day before the workshop after registration closes.
This session is free.
