Seattle IB Workshop

Masterclasses

All participants will take part in one 90 minute master class. Cat 1 teachers will be able to explore Bunraku whilst Cat 2 participants immerse themselves in the devising process, directly related to the collaborative project


Theatre

All participants will attend one professional theatre performance. TWO TRAINS RUNNING by August Wilson, directed by Juliette Carrillo, produced in association with Arena Stage at the Bagley Wright Theatre.

Important Information

Registration is now open.
Registration will close on 12th January 2018.
Travel forms from ISTA artists are due on 12th January 2018.


Travel

All participants should fly into Seattle–Tacoma International Airport.
Participants will be asked to make their own way from the airport to the hotel.
“The journey from the airport to the venue is about 15 miles long and is accesible by public transport or taxi.

Please check the schedule before confirming travel bookings. Participants need time to travel to and from the airport and should not miss workshop hours because of flights.


Accommodation

We have been unable to secure a group booking so participants should make their own hotel arrangements. Please contact your event coordinator if you need help but for legal reasons we are not able to recommend hotels, only offer suggestions. We do recommend staying within walking distance of the Seattle Centre as traffic can be difficult in that area. Artists have been booked into the The Maxwell Hotel 300 Roy St, Seattle, WA 98109, USA.


Finances

Registration fees are 569.50 GBP for teachers from ISTA member schools; 632.00 GBP for teachers from non-member schools.
Fees include lunches, all tea/coffee breaks; one master class and one theatre ticket.
Surcharges
ISTA t-shirts cost 12.00GBP and can be ordered at the time of registration.


Meals

Lunch will be provided on the 26th, 27th and 28th as well as all tea/coffee breaks during the workshop. Dinners are not provided.
