Arrivals and departures for visiting schools
Schools travelling from outside of Shanghai will be met outside the arrival gate at the airport or train station by a representative from the school and taken to the hotel by school bus. Travel time from Pudong airport to the hotel will take approximately 1.5 hours and travel time from Hongqiao airport or train station will take approximately 20 minutes.

Schools will be transported by bus to the airport or train terminal after the event. Those departing the following morning will be transported back to their hotel and then transferred to the airport or train station in time for their next day travels. Travel time from Pudong airport from the hotel will take approximately 1.5 hours and travel time to the Hongqiao airport or train station will take approximately 20 minutes.

Arrivals and departures for ISTA artists
Upon arrival ISTA artists should look for a driver at the arrival gate holding a sign with their name who will take you directly to the hotel. Travel time from Pudong airport to the hotel will take approximately 1.5 hours and travel time from Hongqiao airport or train station will take approximately 20 minutes.

Artists will be provided return transportation to the airport or train station at the end of the event. Those staying on past the festival will be provided transportation back to the hotel. Artists staying on an extra day are asked to take a taxi to the airport from the hotel. Please keep the receipt to submit to Jo for reimbursement.

Daily transport for visiting students, teachers and ISTA artists
All participants staying at the hotel will be provided transportation to and from the hotel and school by the school bus company. Local participants are required to make their own daily travel arrangements.

Transport for the cultural excursion
Transportation to and from the cultural excursion location will be provided by school bus. The journey may take up to 1 hour due to traffic.

Social meal for visiting teachers/chaperones and ISTA artists
As students are staying in hotels at this festival, there will be no teacher social meal.

Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive in time for evening on Thursday 31st October 2019.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:00pm on Sunday 3rd November 2019.
(There will be no scheduled activities on the 31st October 2019 but all school groups will be required to check into the hotel the night before the festival starts).
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Local schools will attend from morning Friday 1st November 2019 onwards.

For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Wednesday 30th October 2019.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until after 5:00pm on Sunday 3rd November 2019.
The Rep should arrive by evening on Tuesday 29th October 2019.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Travel information is due by 23rd August 2019.

Registration fees
Students from member schools – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.
Daily transport (for hotel stay students only) – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £47 per student per night based on shared accommodation; GBP £141 for three nights.

Total cost per student
Local member schools – GBP £226.
Non-local member schools – GBP £377.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.

Teachers/chaperones

Registration fees
Member schools – GBP £50.
Non-member schools – GBP £102.

Please note:

A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.

Shared rooms will be booked for 3 nights from 31st October 2019.
Where possible students will be placed in rooms with peers from the same school.
Schools will be invoiced at the time of registration for all accommodation costs.

For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.

For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from 30th October 2019.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 29th October 2019.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.
