Singapore Student TaPS 2018

Masterclasses
Students will take part in two 90 minute master classes.
One master class will be focused on a Balinese theatre tradition and the other will be focused on Lecoq skills and techniques.
Teachers are invited to take part in two PD sessions at no extra cost.
Theatre
Participants will attend two professional theatre performances.
In the first performance Pak Dibia will share his extensive knowledge and professional experience in Balinese theatre traditions.
The second performance will be focused on the devising process and will showcase a theatre group from Singapore who will approach the devising process using the Lee Strasberg methodology.

A full information pack will be sent to all participants three weeks prior to the workshop.
Travel
Overseas participants are advised to arrive into Singapore by evening of Wednesday 19th September 2018.
Local participants will attend from the morning of Thursday 20th September 2018.
Departures from the school should not be planned until after the close of TaPS at 3:00pm Saturday 22nd September 2018.
Please arrange international travel accoringly.
Please note it is the responsibility of teachers and ISTA artists to ensure they have arranged their own visas, as required.

ISTA will make this booking and charge schools for accommodation fees at the time of registration.
Visiting teachers, chaperones and ISTA artists will stay in single rooms. Students will stay in shared rooms.
ISTA will be booking rooms for all participants for the nights of the 19th, 20th and 21st September inclusive.

Registration fee
Students from member schools – GBP £290.
Students from non member schools – GBP £325.
Students from host school – GBP £217.50 for first 20, thereafter GBP £290.
Registration fees include all workshops, master classes, 2 x theatre performances and meals.
Surcharges
ISTA t-shirt – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Non local participants daily travel – GBP £20 (includes daily hotel/school transfers and round-trip theatre transfers).
Local participants two one-way theatre transfers – GBP £10.
Accommodation costs
GBP £70 per student per night based on shared accommodation, so GBP £210 for three nights.
Total cost per student – local schools
GBP £302 (member schools); GBP £337 (non member schools), plus surcharge for theatre travel, TBC.
Total cost per student – non local schools
GBP £312 (member schools); GBP £347 (non member schools), plus surcharge for accommodation and travel, TBC.

Accommodation costs
GBP £125 per teacher per night based on single room accommodation, so GBP £375 for three nights. (Wednesday 19th September, Thursday 20th September and Friday 21st September 2018)
Total cost per teacher
Local teachers – GBP £142, plus surcharge for theatre travel, TBC.
Non local teachers – GBP £152, plus surcharge for accommodation and travel, TBC.
All registration fees, surcharges and accommodation costs (if applicable) will be invoiced once the registration window has closed.
A GBP £500 deposit will be sent with the booking confirmation; this amount will be taken off your final invoice.
Meals
Lunch will be provided for all participants on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Evening meals will be provided on Thursday and Friday.
Breakfasts will be taken at the hotel (oversesas participants) and at home (local participants).
