Described by all who attend as a life changing event. A unique opportunity for 3D learning about one of the most significant events in history. Artists, teachers and students learn so much and are truly humbled by the experience.

All participants take part in three tours of Terezin: the small fortress tour, the former Ghetto tour and the museum tour.

Our main base is the Park Hotel in Terezin, along with various venues in and around the town.
Important Information
The festival begins at 9:00am on Friday 16th March 2017 and finishes at 10:00pm on Sunday 18th March 2018.
Visiting schools
Registration opens 12th January 2018.
Registration closes 26th January 2018.
Please note:
We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected prior to 12th January 2018.
Travel information is due from visiting schools at the time of registration.

All schools will need to arrive into Prague before 4:00pm on Thursday 15th March 2018; departures may be planned for Monday morning. Please arrange international travel accordingly.

£206 per student – member schools.

This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Please note:
1. A £500 non-refundable, non-transferrable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
2. A £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
3. A £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places can not be guaranteed at the festival.
Travel and visas
All participants should fly into Prague international airport or arrive into Praha Hlavní Nádraží (main) train station.
All schools will be collected by private bus and taken to Terezin on arrival; transport will also be provided at the end of the festival back to Prague.
The journey from the airport/train station to Terezin will take approximately 1 hour.
Visiting schools
All schools are responsible for booking their own travel and visas for the festival. Please ensure you arrive in Prague (at either the airport or train station) by 4:00pm on Thursday 15th March 2018.
ISTA artists
ISTA artists are responsible for booking their own flights to the festival and this year will use our new travel agency for this. Artist teams will be activated 12 weeks prior to the festival and your EC will talk you through the new process for booking flights at the time of activation.
Artists are also responsible for ensuring they have the necessary visa to enter the Czech Republic.

Please note that Wi-Fi, where available, is intermittent and unreliable. We strongly suggest teachers source a phone plan for use in Terezin.
Please note that Terezin and Litomerice are communites of little wealth and as such the accommodation centres are basic.
Please do not expect high quality accommodation. Meals will be catered for but again these are not of the highest quality.
Visiting schools
Teachers/chaperones
Visiting teachers will stay in single room accommodation at the Park Hotel or at Hostel U sv. Štěpána as above. Teachers will be placed in the same accommodation centre as their students.
Visiting teachers/chaperones will be booked into the hotel for the nights of the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th March 2018.
Visiting students
Students will stay in shared rooms at the Park Hotel or Hostel U sv. Štěpána as above.
Where possible we will place students in rooms with peers from the same school.
Accommodation will be booked for students for the nights of the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th March 2018.
Please note:
As the festival is a hotel model festival as opposed to homestay it is ISTA’s expectation that teachers/chaperones will look after students outside of scheduled festival times.

ISTA will book and pay for single room accommodation at the following hotel for the nights of the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th March 2018.
