Travel and Visas

All participants should fly into Prague International Airport (PRG) or arrive into Praha Hlavní Nádraží (main) train station.

All organisations are responsible for booking their own travel and visas for the festival.

Please ensure you arrive in Prague (at either the airport or train station) no later than 4:00pm on Thursday 16th March 2023.

Participants should plan to depart Prague on Monday, 20th March 2023.

Private transport (buses) will be provided to take participants to and from Terezin. The journey from the airport/train station to Terezin will take approximately 1 hour.

Participants are responsible for booking their own travel and securing visas for the event.

Accommodation

All participants will stay in one of the following  accommodation centres:

Park Hotel Terezin
Machova 163
41155 Terezin
Czech Republic
Phone: +420 721 863 750
Hotel website

Additional accommodation information will be updated by the end of September 2022

Please note

WiFi, where available, is intermittent and unreliable. We strongly suggest chaperones source a phone data plan for use in Terezin.

Terezin is not a wealthy community and as such the accommodation centres are basic.

Educators/chaperones
Teachers and chaperones will stay in single room accommodation at the Park Hotel or in additional accommodation located in Terezin.  Chaperones will be placed in the same accommodation centre as their students.

Educator/chaperones will be booked into the hotel for the nights of the 16th – 19th March 2023.

ISTA will invoice schools for all accommodation costs at the time of registration.

Student Learners
Students will stay in shared rooms at the designated hotel with their teacher/chaperones.

Where possible students will be placed in rooms with peers from their own organisation.

Students will be booked into the hotel for the nights of the 16th – 19th March 2023.

Please Note
As the festival is a hotel model festival as opposed to homestay it is ISTA’s expectation that adult chaperones will look after students outside of scheduled festival times.

Meals

All meals will be provided for all participants from arrival into Terezin on Thursday evening through to and including breakfast on Monday morning.

There are one or two basic corner groceries (potraviny) and one or two small cafes in Terezin where participants may purchase small snacks if desired, but students should be prepared for simple Czech food at all meals
