We advise that you have your group confirmed and all information collected by 26th December 2019.
Travel information is required as part of the registration process. Please have travel details confirmed by the time the registration window opens.
You should arrive in time to be at the festival venue for 9:00am on Thursday 13th February 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until 5:00pm on Saturday 15th February 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Local schools will travel daily.

For artists
You need to arrive in time for an evening meal on Tuesday 11th February 2020.
You should not plan to leave the festival venue until 5:30pm on Saturday 15th February 2020.
The Rep should arrive by evening time on Monday 10th February 2020.
Please arrange travel accordingly.
Travel information is due by 5th December 2019.

Finances


Students
Registration fees
Students – GBP £216.
Students from host school – GBP £165 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £216.
This includes the cost of an ISTA t-shirt.

Surcharges
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.
Overseas students daily travel – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £57 (500 Chinese Yuan) per student per night based on either a queen or twin room (two students sharing) accommodation; GBP £171 (1500 Chinese Yuan) for three nights.

Total cost per student
Local schools – GBP £226.
Non-local schools – GBP £246 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £175 for the first 25, thereafter GBP £226.

Teachers/chaperones
Registration fees – GBP £50.

ISTA t-shirt (optional) – GBP £12.
Airport transfers – GBP £10.
Excursion – GBP £10.

Accommodation costs
GBP £57 (500 Chinese Yuan) per room per night based on either a queen (single teacher/chaperone) or twin room (two teachers/chaperones sharing) accommodation; GBP £171 (1500 Chinese Yuan) for three nights.

Total cost per teacher/chaperone
Local schools – GBP £72.
Non-local schools – GBP £82 plus accommodation.
Host school – GBP £72.

Please note:
1. A GBP £500 non refundable, non transferable deposit will be invoiced upon booking.
2. A GBP £500 cancellation fee will be invoiced to any school cancelling within 12 weeks from the start of the festival, in addition to the deposit withheld.
3. A GBP £150 late registration fee per school booking will be invoiced to schools if the registrations are received after the registration window has closed.
4. All invoices are payable within 28 days of receipt. If not, places cannot be guaranteed at the festival.

Travel and Visas


All overseas participants will fly into Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Local participants will travel daily.

For schools
You are responsible for booking your own travel and securing visas for the festival.

For artists
You are responsible for booking your own flights and will work with your EC to provide all information in a timely manner.
Artist teams are launched 12 weeks prior to the festival and all flights must be booked 10 weeks prior to the festival.
You are also responsible for ensuring you have the correct visa.

All overseas participants will stay at the following hotel:

Overseas visiting schools will need to book their own hotel for teachers/chaperones and students for the dates of the festival.

For schools
For teachers/chaperones
Rooms will need to be booked for 3 nights from Wednesday 12th February 2020.
The costs are GBP £57 (500 Chinese Yuan) per room per night; including breakfast.

For students
Students will stay in shared twin rooms at the designated hotel.
Rooms will need to be booked for 3 nights from Wednesday 12th February 2020.
The costs are GBP £57 (500 Chinese Yuan) per room per night; including breakfast.

For local participants
No accommodation will be booked for local schools.
You are responsible for organising your own daily travel.
Breakfasts will not be provided.

For artists
Single rooms will be booked for you for 4 nights from the 11th February 2020.
An additional night will be booked for the Rep who will arrive on the 10th February 2020.
You will be responsible for any miscellaneous costs during your stay.

Meals


For schools
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel or at home for local participants.

Lunches will be provided daily.

Evening meals are provided by the host school on the Thursday and Friday evenings. For Wednesday and Saturday schools will need to provide these.
One evening meal for teachers/chaperones will be the social meal. This is costed at approximately GBP £30 per person.

For artists
All meals are provided by the host school.
