No birthday celebration is complete without cake and (preferably) a lot of it! We want to kick off the celebrations for ISTA’s 40th year in style and we need your help.

In a perfect world we’d get the whole ISTA community together for a great big party but unfortunately the logistics of making such a party happen are more mind boggling than the Brexit negotiations. But fear not cake lovers – we’re still going to celebrate with a brilliant baking bonanza that’s open to anyone whether you’re a teacher, student, parent or artist.

We want all our bakers out there to dust off their soggy bottoms and enter the Great Big ISTA Bake Off.

Here’s how it works:

– Throughout October, we’re challenging you all to bake an ISTA or theatre-themed cake.

– Unfortunately, cake doesn’t travel well, so we won’t be able to taste it. Instead, you need to photograph your finished cake and send it through to office@ista.co.uk

– All the entries will then be uploaded to a special album on our Facebook page

– We’ll then ask the public to vote for their favourite and the cake that receives the most ‘likes’ wins – and (for the icing on the cake) the winner will get to pick a charity who will receive a £100 donation from us! If you’re a teacher and you happen to be the winner, you’ll have the option of £100 prize as a scholarship towards an ISTA event for anyone in your school.

It’s as simple as that. The closing date for entries is October 31st and the winner will be announced on November 8th when voting has been open for a week. Good luck and please do get involved – we think this is going to be a lot of fun!
